Businiess name:  Chapman, Amy, Md - Scott & White Memorial Hosp

Review content:
Dr. Chapman does not seem to be a very compassionate or concerned practitioner. She actually sent me home from the hospital when I was 4 cm dilated in active labor. I knew I was in active labor and needed to be admitted but because I did not progress from 4 to 4+ in the 20 MINUTES she monitored me she sent me home! She told me I was not in active labor and offered to give me pain medication to ""help me get through the night."" This pain medication would have (potentially) stopped my labor. Within 3 hours of being told I was not in active labor and being sent home, I was 6 cm dilated and delivered my baby 8 hours later (first time mom). I actually went back to the hospital to pick up my pain medication ""to get me through the night"" ... she had to legally check my cervix again and found I was 6 cm. She finally admitted me! Being told I was not in active labor when I was - and her telling me that my labor could last DAYS longer really messed with my mental state. She did this presumably because at the time I went to Scott & White the L & D area was full. Dr. Chapman probably did not want to deal with having ""overflow."" She did not even let me walk around for a little bit to be re-monitored which is usually what standard protocol is! I was having contractions 4 minutes apart at this point, 4 cm dilated and she looked at me with a straight, unconcerned, and uncaring face and said ""go home."" DO NOT recommend her. Seems like she is not in it for the health of mothers & babies, and does not seem like she enjoys what she does. After I was admitted in active labor, she did not once come and check on me. I had my own OBGYN come to care for me - thankfully!
