Review content:
When my furnace stopped working a few weeks ago I remembered seeing a lot of trucks from Carini Heating and Air Conditioning in my Scripps Ranch neighborhood. So I asked some of my neighbors if they had any good or bad experiences with heating and air conditioning companies, and I got an earful of good comments about Carini and a few horror stories about a couple other companies that also work out here. One of my neighbors in particular told me about a company (a pretty big one in town) that refused to even consider doing repairs on their furnace, and only recommended installing a new system. So for due diligence, I got bids from 3 companies, inculding Carini. Here's what the 3 companies proposed: the first one told us the furnace couldn't be repaired, and we got an estimate for a new system from Amana. The second company said they could repair the system, and gave us a price for the repairs. Finally, Carini heating and Air gave us a much better price for the repairs, and said there was no reason to buy a whole new system. So we chose Carini and even signed up for a maintenance contract which gets us periodic inspections and regular maintenance. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and I think San Diego has its share of companies that try to sell people things they don't really need. With Carini Heating and Air, I felt comfortable that they were honest and professional, and they work hard to provide what their customers need - and not what they can sell them. Brian G.
