I died and went to gym heaven!! This year I was looking around to join a gym. Went to all the gyms in my area and also by my job. I felt so relaxed and at ease when I went for my appt. At no time did James try to force a membership on me. (I practically had a rep show up at my job from the NY Sports club harrassing me to join!) But I was immediately enchanted by this facility! The place has 3 floors, several rooms equiped for your workout. Very modern equipment, with tvs, radios. Many choices of equipment and no wait! There are also rooms for classes and a room equiped for private training. The locker room always looks and smells clean. Inside you will find showers, a hot tub and sauna. There is also spa services available and a small health food lounge. And for parents that need daycare there is a nice room set up for childcare. Since I joined I look forward everyday to my workout. Going to the gym is no longer the dreading experience for me. I get lost in my daily peaceful workouts. Being that I'm so involved in my workout I dont really interact with the staff. The receptionists at the door always greet me, the attendant in locker room is always smiling and the other staff on premises is also friendly especially James! The price is affordable, pretty much what the other gyms were offering. As long as I am living in Astoria I plan to stay a faithful member to this fabulous place!
