This tailor is fantastic. Everyone I came in contact with, including the extremely talented seamstress who ended up doing the work on my dress, was friendly, competent and - most importantly - very skilled! I walked in without an appointment and was promptly helped. They have a trained eye and really know their trade. The alterations I needed were rather tricky (I wanted to add sleeves to a sleeveless evening dress) and required quite a bit of skill and vision. In the end, my dress looked as though the sleeves had always been a part of the design. The service was impeccable, the alteration exceptional and the entire experience a pleasure! And the price was extremely fair.
UPDATE: I just used them again to get that very dress altered (I had a baby recently and am not quite back to my old pre-baby weight) and again, I was amazed at the extraordinary job they did! I had given up on the dress, thinking that there is little that can be done to make it bigger. Boy, was I wrong. The talented team did their magic and the dress now once more fits like a glove and no one would know it was let out. More importantly, from the second I stepped into their studio, I felt in the best of hands. Once more, they produced impeccable work and were very prompt, efficient and nice about it. They also did wonders on another evening gown I brought along that had an indecently deep bust opening I felt uncomfortable about. For the tailors at S&P that was no problem at all and now that dress looks perfect! Again, I highly recommend S&P: what a pleasure!
