Review content:
About 8 years ago I purchased and Armani couture silk and heavily beaded skirt which was in need of repair. It was so heavy with beading, sequins, pearls and Swarovski crystals that it weighed on the waistband to the point of shredding the edges. But, alas, I loved the skirt and put it away for future use. My daughter became engaged and the wedding was coming up. What to wear? So out came the skirt, still in disrepair. I brought it to the LOVELY people at Silhouettes and Profiles, not sure that they would be able to fix it. The response when I inquired as to whether it was possible to resurrect this vintage piece was, ""Anything is possible, we have our tricks!"" So I left the skirt there for 3 weeks and drove in from Connecticut to pick it up. I have to admit I was a bit anxious, as I wasn't so sure it was possible to be fixed. In fact, they did a REMARKABLE job! I was (and am) still in awe of the workmanship involved in putting the skirt back together. I WILL be wearing this skirt to my daughter's wedding and they will be getting a photo of me wearing it to post in their showroom.
As far as I am concerned this is the BEST place in the world to have tailoring done.
