Businiess name:  Rose Hill Farm

Review content:
While I hear positive remarks about their pony camp program, I strongly advise against boarding a horse at Rose Hill. In comparison to other barns in the Hamptons area, this one had:\r \r 1) an intolerable number of flies both in the horse areas and the lounge\r 2) too much of manure in the stalls\r 3) poor ventilation (box fans were bungee corded to the stall windows)\r 4) the ineptitude of the handlers did not inspire confidence as they handled my horse\r 5) not enough room for my trunk\r 6) I found my saddle placed haphazardly on the tack room floor several times\r \r The staff was pleasant enough, but I did object to their loud arguing as I ride the animal. A horse that was inexplicably quarantined in back by the trailers and manure bins was making distressed whinnys from where he was kept. It was a suspicious and troubling situation all summer long.\r \r Though the barns are disastrous, the grounds are lovely. There is an indoor ring, outdoor ring, and jumps in the field. Pros: In a nice area north of the highway. Cons: Disastrous maintenance of the stalls and lounge.
