After paying $3000 for laminate flooring to be installed in our living room, kitchen and hall we were left with awful installation and nobody that cared enough to fix it. We had the flooring installed over two days. As soon as I saw the finished product I called the store to discuss the problems with the quarter rounds and the overall quality of the finish. The manager came out to take a look and told us that he would send out a carpenter to fix the job. The kid that came out sanded some places and painted over some nails and left. After this poor fix we were two weeks in to our new floors and already there was buckling and cracks. They had a ""third-party"" floor inspector come out. While he was ""inspecting"" he was also telling us how much he liked the guys at Dalton and insisted that we had just mopped the floor. We hadn't but we knew his report would be skewed. Well it was but that's when I researched it and found the problem myself. I contacted the Canadian manufacturer of the flooring product. It seems that the installer didn't follow there installation guidelines at all. The flooring was supposed to be acclimated to the inside temp. of our condo. Instead it sat in a van in 90+degrees humid weather for two days. Also, the specifications for spacing were not followed at all. The company rep. said that these two things caused the buckling and cracking. The third party report even verified that the company's specs weren't followed. When I brought this to Dalton's attention they wouldn't call me back. I went through all chains of command and was told that I was a liar, that they didn't care what the floor specs were and that they weren't doing anything for me. I ended up selling the condo but I wish I would have brought these crooks to small claims court. Please learn from my bad luck and don't go to them. Cons: Poor installation, Poor customer service
