Review content:
I recently went into new32 for a cleaning, since it was about that time. Among the normal routine are digital color pictures, which on the new patient info page states is for monitering the tissue in the mouth, like for cancer screening. However, upon receiving the summary of charges for the initial visit, this service is not free, and is not covered by most dental plans, as told to me by one of the staff. It's not too spendy ($13), but going in and expecting 100% coverage for the cleaning and having to pay was a little startling, considering that I was not even shown these images. After discussing it with the staff, this charge was waived, though this service should be made optional. I learned that I had four cavities that needed to be filled, and received an estimate for the total. I learned later, after performing the fillings, that the estimate overestimated the amount covered by my insurance, since they hadn't checked for the true total before offering me the price, so I owed $125 additionally. As for the service, it's excellent. A little gentler than a previous dentist, and a much nicer atmosphere. Very calming neutral colors, flat screen tvs, and comfy chairs make it a less traumatic experience. The staff are very nice and knowledgable, as is Dr. Fligor, though it would be nice if the billing was more straightforward, and based on figures from the insurance policy, and not guesstimation. Pros: beautiful office, friendly staff Cons: billing a little confusing
