Ok. I know! It's a chain... but I kinda like the lunch crowd here. It's a little busy. The food is respectable. I've eaten here for years (since it opened in fact) and this location has great consistency of food with reasonable service. The slightly snobbish atmosphere doesn't turn me off one bit. I think it is aspiring to attain something resembling class in a mass market make em pay kinda' way.\r \r Of the many dishes I have eaten at this location I keep going back to three dishes when I am dining with a person who has not eaten at PFC's before. To start, there is the Hot and Sour soup. Not the best, but right up there with acceptable culinary traditions like grilled cheese and apple pie. It just makes you feel good. The main courses I suggest to first timers are either the shrimp in lobster sauce if you are in the seafood mode (nice reduction with a hint of black bean) or the tried and true Mongolian Beef served piping hot with fresh scallions (hard to mess that one up) if you are looking for that slightly heavier fare.\r \r Well... I give this four stars for recommended based on consistency and acceptable service over the years. Good for the business luncheon or people watching. Pros: Predictable fare with respectable service. Cons: Slightly over priced.
