I'm admittedly loyal to JOMDC, having taken dance classes here for two years. They offer a wide array of dance classes in different dance styles, from jazz to hip hop to belly dancing to modern. I often drop in for classes randomly (I usually take hip hop - the choreographers are all awesome). I've also taken two studio to stage classes, in which a choreographer teaches a group of you and other paying students a long routine, which you perform for a paying audience (twice) after about 2 months. I've always enjoyed taking these classes and love performing onstage, and made a lot of friends from both classes. If you've got stage fright but want to get over it, this is a good way to - choreographers and students are always helpful and willing to work with you one-on-one to help you do your best onstage. JOMDC also offers great workshops, like a Thriller 2-hour class or a Lady Gaga dance workshop. If you just want to learn how dance, or dance better, I definitely recommend JOMDC (and any of its locations). Pros: fun, inexpensive dance classes and workshops Cons: no longer has a Dupont location :(
