AWFUL. I don't even know where to start and I sincerely wanted to keep this as objective as possible...
First the owner was a nightmare. She is rude, doesn't show any business savvy or accountability, and is your only recourse if things go wrong. And they did here and she blamed my wedding planner for her company's faults and wrongdoings... Is this worth risking and jeopardizing your special day:
1. The hummer limo didn't have sufficient AC on a 90+ degree afternoon. We were melting. Thankfully I wasn't in my dress at that point. She accused me of not taking the time to call when we had noticed and this was not only my wedding day, but expected to be done when? during the car ride? commonsense would tell you that is too late and impossible. I also have a voicemail admitting a service check ""showed one fan wasn't working properly..."" It goes on for 3 minutes and it is bad. Instead of asking me to contact her regarding the matter she incriminates her company over and over.
2. The limo driver never made it to pick up the guys. I know, ridiculous right. They actually had to take 4 cars to drive themselves, just 30 minutes before the ceremony started. Our dads included. We didn't have passes for them at Duke Chapel even and all 30 reserved spaces were taken. They also missed important pictures and I actually had to be put back in a room so the groom wouldn't run into me. Then they had to find time to move their cars out afterward and drive to the reception 25 minutes away... Can you even imagine.
3. The driver needed our best man to get her out of Durham and to the reception. Luckily my husband and I were in a car from another transportation company and I didn't know about it until after. It would have ruined this otherwise perfect wedding.
4. Three of the passengers got sick in the limo on the way to the reception venue. We stopped at Duke Gardens for pictures and the driver couldn't even get the limo in the parking lot. The limo had to stop again to let some of the girls out and into a guest's car. One of my bridesmaids, pregnant, actually had to leave right after dinner as she was never able to feel better. I was mortified and heartbroken when I found out.
5. When I talked to the owner, she actually stated lie and excuse after lie and excuse and never offered a sensible solution. Moreover, when she knew she wasn't in the right she hung up on me. Check out Citysearch online and you can see many others say she did the same thing to them.
6. She actually had the nerve to try to not contact us and simply refund $100 out of the $725, that's it! (I talked to her finally by phone after she tried the nominal refund). But that means she had our account information to be able to run that. Definitely not someone I want holding on to account information.
Unbelievable and unacceptable. She hasn't returned my wedding planner's calls and I am planning to file a claim with our credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. It was THAT serious and THAT horrible an experience.
BRIDES AND ALL CITYSEARCHERS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!! There are too many other transportation companies, at similar if not better pricing, to ever have to potentially deal with this!!!
