In Lauderdale-by-the-Sea you really can not get a better value than the Ocean Reverie. The location is awesome, just steps to the Ocean and the pier area where you will find some of best dining at the Village grill. In fact you can walk to just about anything from Ocean Reverie while still enjoying the tropical atmosphere of small town Florida. The apartments are spacious, updated, immaculate and tastefully appointed with fully equipped kitchens and a full bath. There are huge picture windows in both the living rooms (affording great views of the pool area and the ocean) and in the bedrooms (looking out to tropical greenery and the back yard shuffleboard area. All rooms are set up with two twin beds which can be converted to one Queen. The living room sofa's are also convertible to a queen size bed (new and oh so comfy!). The owner, Arlean Damurjian, is helpful and accommodating. The grounds, including the pool area, are pristine. There are plenty of lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, pool toys and a gas grill if you want to cook outside. Shrubs, flowers and all the typical Florida greenery abound you might see a geckos or two smiling back at you. We are repeat guests (6 previous stays) and just can not say enough about our affection for this place. Everyone, including other guests, just seems to pick on the inviting atmosphere. The Ocean Reverie is just plain friendly but never, ever intrusive. Sure you can pay more at other area places but you will not find a nicer, cleaner place than this (we know we have stayed elsewhere in this area). We guarantee that you will feel welcome, relaxed and like us just never wanting to leave.
Pros: This is old time Florida hospitality and architeture with fabulous location and updated room interiors.
