Vista Pawn State Street. Looking to purchase a Kahr CW40, salesman brought out a well-used piece that was just coming out of pawn for $499. I asked if they could do better on the price, he checked with firearms manager, and came down to $450. I asked if that was bottom line and he looked up the gun on gunbroker dotcom. He showed me the GB screen of completed auctions where average price was ~450 and said that's what they go by. I said yes, that was the average of closed auctions, but all the items he was showing had ZERO bids, meaning no one bought one at that price. I asked him to sort on number of bids, and he refused to do so, saying, ""I hear what you're saying, but that's as good as we can do."" When I got home, I checked on GB myself, and guess what? Average price on closed auctions that actually SOLD was between $330-$380. Adding in shipping, FFL fees, taxes, etc. it would still be well under $450 for a BRAND NEW GUN! Vista Pawn would be happy to take $477 from you for a USED gun. You do the math, and don't get ripped off! If you're in Treasure Valley, see Bennie's Pawn in Meridian or Al's Pawn in Caldwell for a NIB peice at much less that Vista Pawn.
