Review content:
I have a 6+ yr old male cavy, who has already had one stone removal a year and a half ago in Virgina (i lived in Maryland at the time and drove 2hrs just for the surgury). Since then i have moved to Fl and found myself desperatly searching the web for a vet when i noticed some of his symptoms returning. When i read the reviews about how his post- op cavy's bounced right back, my decision was made. When we took the x-rays to check for a stone, of course it is in the worse possible place, and he is the equivilent of a 95 yr old man. I'm sure MOST vets would recomend to put him to sleep, but Dr. Bonsack conculted with 2 of his collueges. One of which was on VACATION at the time(and she called me personally) and the other who is in ENGLAND!!! He did all of this for my PIGGIE, just to make sure how to go about the procidure. He was such a difficult case because of the location of the stone and his age. He went out of his way to make sure he could save him for me, and also providing me with contacts who have given me so much information on the anatomy and care of caveys.I just wanted to thank Dr. Bonsack and everyone involved in saving my ""Daddy"".\r
There is so much incorrect information on caveys......so if you love your little guys, stop by to meet Dr. Bonsack. If he dosen't know how to help you, he will put you in touch with someone that does!!!
