Review content:
After I finished a Thai cooking course outside of Bangkok, I did some research on where to find Thai herbs, vegetables, and ingredients. Every restaurant and Thai person I asked recommended Kim Nhung Superfoods as the premiere Thai grocery in the greater Detroit area. I've visited several Asian grocers from Detroit to Ann Arbor, and no store has come close to the selection of items for Thai cooking that Kim Nhung has. This store carries Vietnamese and Thai grocery items ranging from vegetables, fruits, spices, herbs and sauces, to tea, rice, noodles, eggs, cookware and serving dishes. They carry hard to find items, like fresh kaffir lime leaves and the freshest lemongrass available. The store operators are very helpful, making excellent suggestions as I try new Vietnamese and Thai dishes. If you like cooking authentic Thai or Vietnamese food, Kim Nhung Superfoods is a must-visit.
Pros: variety of items, excellent Thai herbs and spices, helpful service
Cons: The store has a strong odor from the meat/fish counter. Avoid the meat counter if you're squeamish.
