Review content:
This is my seventh time I tried Japanese restaurant in Portland Oregon. I moved from Chicago recently and I was trying to find a quality sushi restaurant in town. Past six Japanese restaurants I tried were nothing but boring and so out dated. Most of them remind me ten years ago in Chicago. Finally I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant which is Le Hana. They have out-standing atmosphere and I can see many creative menu items which can be never find even in most hip Chicago Japanese restaurants. We had monk fish pate, Kobe beef skewer and scallop orange salsa(?) for appetizer. Each of plates was beautifully presented and taste very modern. We also tried Sushi combination, butterfly roll and IRO roll. Each of roll was very creative and nigiri sushi cut was amazing. Tuna was fresh and very generously cut. It was totally different from thin slice cut of other Japanese restaurants I tried. Price was surprisingly affordable. I felt even cheaper than last restaurant I visited which was Masu. I cannot wait to try other specialty rolls they have. It is a little far from my house but it is well worth to drive 20 minutes. I realized that I under estimate Portland restaurants.
Pros: Concept
Cons: Far from my house
