Review content:
OK, so EVERY new restaurant has some start-up pains, and it takes more than one bad experience to sour me on a restaurant. Thankfully, that policy is irrelevant since, unlike the previous reviewer, my partner, best friend and myself had a GREAT first experience at Marche last Saturday.\r

We arrived at around 12:30 and the place was full, but not crammed; we lucked up and caught someone leaving and sat right down. Our server was friendly and attentive, and best of all knew the menu well enough to be able to make accurate recommendations. We started out with a bowl of the soup du jour (veg. white bean) and the artisanal cheese plate which arrived promptly, in just the right size portions, and were delicious. The blood-orange mimosas were an ever-so-slightly upscale version of the familiar brunch-time favorite, and good enough that we had two each.\r
\r
Main courses were the omlettes du jour (mushroom and mozarella) for two of us and the crepes du jour (salmon) for myself. All arrived freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned and portioned just right to fill, but not stuff.\r
\r
When the check arrived, it turned out to be one of the better non-Waffle House brunches we'd shared in a while. ;-)\r
\r
On top of the great in-house food, the store also features some fairly hard to find grocery items (for those of us who don't live next door to Wild Oats) like stone-cut oatmeal and one of my personal favorite little luxuries, Nutella (a European chocolate hazelnut butter.) WOOHOO!!!!\r
\r
We'll be back!!!
Pros: Unique dishes, grocery items, great service
Cons: Too many ""du jours"" to be able to try them all!
