Pak Mail, Niceville, FL.-price gougers. When we mailed a package to our son who is serving in Haiti (18""x 12""x 12"", 26lbs.) they charged us $60.00. After thinking about it, I called the USPS and asked what the cost for that size pkg. would be to send to that address. I know Pak Mail has to charge a mark up, but when he told me $24.00 from the USPS for Parcel Post, I asked why Pak Mail would have charged so much. Being as diplomatic as he could be, the man said, ""I don't understand why it would be so high. You need to talk to someone at the store."" So I called the Pak Mail store. The owner told me they have a mark up, and that the cost for mailing Parcel Post is $51.00 and the box/packaging was #11.00. When I asked her what her mark up is, she couldn't tell me, but said that, if she had not already registered the payment, she would have given me a refund. Bottom line...unless you're willing to pay three times more to mail your packages, mail them directly from the PO. Cons: Charged 3 times more than the PO
