Review content:
We live by this restaurant and had driven by a number of times and gave it shot finally last night, Valentine's Day. Should of got the the clue right away when the place was maybe half full on the biggest ""dinner out"" night of the year. Outside looks cute, inside needs lots of help. Run down, bad decor. But that might of been the best part of our dinner. You walk in an you smell nothing. An Italian restaurant that doesn't smell like a warm loaf of bread and garlic is probably not a good one. Sat there for 10 minutes without being acknowledged, then our server took our drink order and said she'd bring out some bread. Another 10 minutes we got bread, our drinks and we ordered. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which on the menu claims that it is reported to be the best in Denver. I got the special which was pork shank with pasta and the house ragu. Our review of the food was that it was something I would expect at a Furr's cafeteria. Just bland. Everything. But the house red sauce or Ragu as they call it was tasteless and watery. Nothing more to say. We asked for parmesan cheese when our food was delivered to at least add some flavor that way. The waitress said she would try and find some and probably have to steal it from some other customers...again, an Italian restaurant that has to TRY and find parmesan cheese for their food. Alas, we never got the parmesan cheese. We had to ask for our bill. And we witnessed the apparent owner not only sit idly by as the wait staff struggled and did not do anything except to berate our waitress (who was horrible) and threaten her that if she start taking care of this one table in 2 minutes, she needed to leave. So that's that. Not going back. I truly wonder where some of the framed reviews that say the place was amazing came from, they were over 4 years old, so maybe the parents of the current owners started it, left it to them and now it sucks. And sucks bad. Won't return.
