I tried Bara intially because of it's mention in 5280 as one of the top five places to go on a date. It was everything as billed and better. I've recently graduated from college and have my first job. I have more money to burn but I'm also rather tight fisted. Couple that with the fact that despite my new income status I'm still treated like a no tipping college kid. At Bara this is not the case. They treated my girlfriend and I with respect the minute we reached the door. Service was prompt the water glass never ran low and the waiter was attentive enough that I never had to pour an ounce of wine myself. The sushi is first rate and a much better value than at the Den or Sonoda's.
