Review content:
I was ripped off at Eyeglasses Galore in san Diego!
June 2008 I purchased a pair of Versace sunglasses for $239 (for my girlfriend).
Shortly thereafter, the Versace logo on the arm just fell off!
I went to the Pacific Beach store where I bought them and spoke with the owner...I requested another pair.
He stated he could not do that but he would contact the manufacturer and see what he could do. Huh?
Weeks or more went by I heard nothing...I went back in, he said he was waiting for replacement arms...by this time Summer was OVER! But I accepted the resolution.
I finally received a call that my glasses were ready for pickup...I went down and he handed me the glasses, with what looked like Tijuana knockoff arms put on!?
I somehow kept my cool and said, this is unacceptable, these are not the original style arms. The owner stated that that was the replacement by Versace. I told him they are not what I purchased and I do not want them.
I then said I want my money back! He then had the nerve to ask me for my receipt (more than 5 months later)! I left, spent the next week searching and came back with receipt in hand! When I arrived, the owner had a new solution, he was searching all over for a replacement pair now. He assured me would find a pair and call me.
(keep in mind that my life does not revolve around these glasses, so without him maintaining contact like he should be, with a resolution, this becomes out of site out of mind for me)
So, months later, I'm getting a smoothie next door and I stop in...there's an older lady working. I tell her the story, she looks for the glasses or some record of and she can find nothing. She suggests that I talk with the now allusive owner!
Now over 1 year later, a couple months ago...I go in again and talk to a young lady working...tell her the story AND she finds the sun glasses and notes and that nothing has been done. I tell her no-one is calling me back and I'm pretty mad...she assures me that she will handle it and she will call me! AND she does! Well, she called me and told me I would have to talk to the owner -;-0
Of course!
So, now it's yesterday, I'm getting a bagel sandwich next to the sun-glass store and so I stop in to maybe catch a glimpse of the mysterious Bigfoot/Owner...who has been seen in the past but alludes even the seasoned hunter/shopper...
Cons: too many to list read below!
