Review content:
We were recommended this place from our auto repair specialist when we needed the seal on the windshield replaced, and were willing to drive 20+ miles to this shop based on the recommendation. But we could not have had a worse experience. While I expect that there may be an error made here and there (no one is perfect) we had multiple issues.
First, this shop quoted a price to our mechanic when he called in regarding the replacement of the seal, but tried to give us a different price when we came in.
Second, the windshield developed a crack radiating from the seal that same day. My husband drove the car down to show them, and started negotiations between them and our insurance. The specialist who looked at it, while not specifically admitting fault, did say that it looked like it was not caused by a rock or outside force.
It took a week of calling back and forth to finally get them to start talking about replacing the windshield. A second specialist asked my husband to drive down so he could take a look at the crack to see if it looked like it was an effect of the sealing job. My husband refused, reminding him that someone else from the shop had already looked at it.
Eventually, the windshield was replaced, at a cost to both us and our insurance. But upon driving home, my husband realized that the rear-view mirror was not replaced correctly, and was rattling. We refused to drive back down, and fixed that problem ourselves. Upon removing the tape from the new seal today, it definitely was simply a mediocre job completed.
What happened to pride in workmanship and treating the customer like a valued client? This definitely does not exist in any form at this glass repair shop.
Cons: shoddy work, difficult customer service
