Review content:
I've been to Pyramid a few times... My wife's friend descibed it as ""the one that looks like a Disney Store"" from the front. ""Big Corporate"" is good for some things, not so good for others. I think there are 3 strikes against Pyramid as a ""brewpub"": \r
- they don't actually brew any beer onsite - this is a Corporate restaurant with beer hauled in from Berkeley\r
- the food is lackluster pub grub - nothing wrong with simple, but you better do it really well if that's your focus\r
- the beers aren't very exciting. Today's most exciting brewpubs & micros are doing some incredible things with beer - unfortunately Pyramid is not in this group. \r
\r
SO - if you need a bite and don't have time to drive walk another 4 to 10 blocks, then Pyramid will get you filled up & rolling again. But if you want to seek out interesting food with quality hand crafted beers, look up one of the other local Sacramento pubs or restaurants.
Pros: location is central for most downtown & capital workers
Cons: not much to get excited about - come in with low expectations
