Review content:
I am self employed and do not have insurance. I used your service and looked for a family eye care center for an eye exam and prescription. I received a timely appointment at Karlik and I believe that the quality of care was excellent. I was asked to pay the fee in full upon completion of the appointment and paid the amount quoted. I got the feeling that this fee was unusual from past experience and thought maybe my memory of fees was outdated. I called several of the top listed Ophthalmology firms on City search and learned that fees are generally lower 1/2 to 3/4 of what I was charged for the same service I received. I later contacted a representative of Karlik and was told that the doctor could charge anything he wanted but fees were generally based on the medical codes. Of the companies I interviewed Karlik was the highest fee for this service. I would like to see the City Search classified by fee for services as well as location and specialty.
Pros: timely appointment, good location
Cons: Higher than average fees
