Review content:
I wish I would have researched these crooks before I purchased, I see now there is a lot of negative information about this place. The selection is very good, prices were apparently (at the time) reasonable, and the salesmen appear helpful. We soon learned none of these to be true. They delivered a defective sofa and tried to conceal the damage by bunching up the fabric around the damaged area. They refused to offer any remedy unless I promised to purchase more furniture. They finally repaired the damaged sofa and I kept my word.
I later also learned the salesman who sold the sofa lied about the stain protection we had purchased with the sofa. Salesman Scott sold a protection package that a professional comes to the house to clean any stain. Reality: the sofa gets stained, you get an 800 number to call and they tell you how to clean it. Also, but it only covers human food and only for 5 years...$160.00
The second order of furniture was even worse. They tried to deliver a dining table set completely different from the set we had purchased and wanted to charge us more money for the one we had selected and paid for. We obviously refused the set and now they are refusing to refund the money. The other piece they delivered was a large TV stand which was defective and damaged our wood floor. I have tried to convince them to resolve these matters but office manager Jan Goebel only hangs up the phone on me.
Don't be influenced by the positive feedback they have here, they write them themselves to offset their real customers’ feedback.
If you must consider Consumer Furniture, protect yourself by taking photographs of what you purchase and record the statements of the salesman, especially salesman Scott. It probably won't convince the crooked Consumers' management to make things right but your attorney will appreciate it later.
Pros: Large selection of garbage product
Cons: expensive junk product, higher quality at Ikea
