Tonight (4/5/12) was the last straw!\r I concour to what Carissa wrote and this was prior to Umi's move!\r If a reastaurant is going to go up in price, then one should NOT receive cold food...from the teppanyaki !!!\r \r I spoke with the Hostess about the ""chef"" had to take the rice & noodle off my plate and my child's plate to only have it soaked in too much soy sauce and served back luke warm! The lame excuse she gave me was that I should next time request the ""chef"" to cook the vegetables, rice and noodle FIRST then the meat. Since when anyone has to tell the ""chef'"" the order of what to cook?! Is it too much to assume that the reason why I keep coming back to a resturant because they have professional ""chef's"" who suppose to know how to cook teppanyaki? Is this too much to exspect?! She did not even apologise. Then I asked was that a new ""chef"" because I didn't recognized him. She said no and explained then it must've been the grill wasn't hot enough...no kidding!!!!\r \r Now, I've been going to Umi's for four years and NEVER had a bad meal (lunch or dinner) until tonight! Three other people, including the person who first introduced me to Umi's has stated that the service and quality of food has diminished!!! Since the move, it is the begining of the end! \r \r If your willing to spend your money at Umi's, go to these places INSTEAD:\r 1) Ichigo Ichie 5 Catamore Blvd East Providence, RI,\r 2) any of the Jacky's Galaxie's or Apsara Place's resturant's in Rhode Island and\r 3)Angkor 10 Traverse St Providence, RI\r \r At least you don't have to cook your food yourself, tell a chef how to cook, worry about faulty equipment or food poisoning! \r
