Review content:
I purchased a new fence from a company in Ohio, and had it shipped by Vitran Express. Vitran never delivered it. They claim their terminal in Nashville was flooded and they had to send my new fence to scrap. They also claimed that they don't insure products against such disasters - claiming it was an act of god. This is not an act of god, the man-made levy broke. God does not make Levy's. People make levy's to carry rain water, that is what they are designed to do. When they fail, it is not god causing the levy to fail. Their terminal is in a well documented flood zone. This is a common occurrence in this area as they often purposely blow levy's to release water so it won't affect other cities. When they bought this land, Vitran was made aware of this area being a known flood zone. They elected to put their terminal there anyway since they could get the land for almost nothing. Our product was damaged due to their negligence, now they won't compensate us for our losses. Instead they sold my 600Lbs of aluminum for scrap and kept the money. Let this be a warning to anyone deciding to use Vitran.
