This place is just awful. Right off the bat, funny story for anyone who knows anything about car audio: went into the store, asked the guy Ahkmed or whatever his name is if they could install an Aux cable on my deck (the port is in the rear, and I did not have the time to do it myself). Guy tells me ""you're better off just buying a new deck for $175, because that Aux cable is going to cost you close to that anyway"". Really? REALLY? An auxilary cable that I can purchase at Radio Shack for 5 dollars is going to cost the same as new deck? Talk about pushing the sale. I literally laughed in his face and walked out. But anyways, onto the actual review. I purchased an Alpine subwoofer (R-Series) with their ""10% discount"" (Still a ripoff compared to online prices, don't know what I was thinking). Comes with a ""no questions asked"" 1-year warranty, have a nice day man. Ok, so a few months later the sub blows out, could be my own fault, could be product defect, whatever. Bring it back to AP, guy tells me ""oh, you're gonna have to pay a non-refundable $36 to have it shipped to Alpine, for them to determine if the defect is covered under warranty. Yea, that really sounds like no questions asked. Also thanks for the heads-up before I bought the sub (sigh). It'll take ten days to ship and get back to you; alright so I guess I'll ship it. It has now been TWENTY days, and I have been nothing but polite to the AP staff. I have not heard one ""sorry for the inconvience"", not one ""I'll straighten this out for you right away"", nothing. These guys are incredibly unorganized, unprofessional, but most importantly, they are liars trying to make a buck. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but places like this make me regret doing so.
