#\r User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars\r by Momof3\r 12/03/2008\r \r I put dresser on hold and returned the next day 90% ready to purchase. Just wanted to take one final look more carefully and brought my 8-year old and 3-year old daughters with me. The place is packed and of course very tempting for my younger daughter to play hide and seek. I tried my best to keep her off the furniture and she is a well-behaved child, and very shy. She listened, but as all kids do, they try to sneak one more past you. As we were talking about the dresser, the store owner suddenly turned around and yelled at my little girl and said, raising her voice, ""NO,NO,NO,NO NO,!! GET OFF!!"" I apologized right away and my daughter immediately did as she commanded, but she was wedged between a sofa and 2 chairs and a 7 piece dining room set. She was scared stiff and did not move an inch. The woman just hovered over her and repeated, ""GET OUT OF THERE!!"" I tried to lift her over one of the chairs, but she was literally stuck. My daughter was quiet the entire time, and then suddenly started to cry incessantly and said sobbing with tears streaming down her face, ""I want to go home, Mommy."" The woman simply rolled her eyes and then just walked away. Needless to say, we immediately left the store. I whole-heartedly respect the owner's feelings about keeping her merchandise in good condition, but it is completely unacceptable to speak to a young child that way, especially if her mother is about to make a purchase. Did you want the sale or not? I don't know if it's because we don't fit the profile of your typical Solana Beach socialite doing some antique shopping, but I will NEVER step foot in that place again! My daughter cried quietly in her car seat all the way home and kept telling us she was scared. . I'm so afraid that that horrible woman has erased almost 4 months of hard work at her preschool to get her to come out of her shell with strangers. Thanks a lot, you insensitive idiot! Cons: Extremely RUDE
