Review content:
I have really wanted to like this practice. After hearing glowing reviews around the community about Dr Gush, we were really excited. At first, the appointments for our newborn son went well.
At his four month checkup, we were left in the room for 45 minutes waiting for the nurse to vaccinate our son. They hadn't even remembered we were in there until we left the room to find out why there was such a long delay. (The nurse just thought it was hilarious that we were forgotten.) During that appt, we were advised to night wean our son (who has been EBF since the day he arrived) and to introduce solids (for no reason) around 4-5 months of age.
After that visit, I was hesitant about returning, but I decided to give them one last chance before we changed pediatricians. At his next checkup, they were 20 minutes late taking us back to be weighed and then, we were left in a room to wait for Dr. Gush for at least 35 minutes. I understand delays happen and offices get busy, but we watched Dr. Gush walk by our door several times. Would it have taken a long time to pop in, explain they were really busy but she'd be with us as soon as she could? When she finally arrived, she spent 4 minutes for our son's six month checkup. 4 minutes. The only positive that I can think of is that the practice was alternate-vaccine-schedule friendly. The doctors were good with my son, but he's laid back and happy so they could have pinched him and he still would have been fine.
