Review content:
I have done a couple of reviews about WORKFORCE/TECH Cntr in Baltimore, MD and let me say that the reviews are not good. My buddy went to WTC in the fall of 2002 (October 2002) and she went to the voc evaluations that was going to be 3-4 weeks long. When her ""time"" was up, she was told by her supervisor that there wasn't anything else new for her to accomplish so....she was sent home without proper notification to family members (e-mail, letters, phone calls, etc were not accomplished). After a 1 year ""absence"" from WTC, my buddy went there again in the spring of 2003 for a pre-admissions interview, etc. Then, she was enrolled at WTC in the spring of 2003. She came home around June 2003 or July 2003 complaining of an earache, etc. My buddy and her mom and my buddy's DORS counselor (a man) went to WTC for a meeting. They (the staff) at WTC told my buddy, her mom and my buddy's DORS counselor that my buddy was not progressing well academically and/or vocationally with the other students in her class. So, she was dismissed again without proper notifications-e-mail, telephone calls, letters, etc. to family members. My buddy said that she felt scared to be in the city because of so much crime/violence in the area (shootings, muggings, stabbings, rapes, etc). So, WTC shame on all of you. If I were grade you, you would receive a f for failing. :( I don't know how WTC handles their students ""grades"" in the classrooms, etc. So my question is this: Is this the way that WTC handles students? Hmmmmmmm. So WTC is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE. :(
Pros: no pros
Cons: Bad school enviroment :(
