I scheduled my move for 10 AM. The movers showed up at 1 PM with a rental truck because theirs broke down.
They were already tired from the previous job and it showed. I was told the move would take about 4 hours, it ended up taking 12 hours! (from the Pearl to NoPo). They took long breaks during which they ""disappeared"", could not be contacted. We called the manager Tonya several times and after a while she wouldn't pick up anymore, clearly screening our calls. The drive from the condo to our new house is 10 minutes but took them 45 minutes. They refused to carry an armoire upstairs. Only 1 out of the 3 guys spoke english, the 2 others didn't even know basic words so it was hard to tell them where to put the stuff, I had to guide them to each room every single time. We were charged extra for ""after hours""....even though THEY were late. They left at 2 in the morning! They tried to get out of the job after loading yp the stuff out of the condo, we had to insist they finish. By far the worst day of my life.
I blame the management which is downright horrible. We wanted to sue them but didn't because we felt bad for the movers who were clearly overworked.
Do yourself a favor and don't hire them for your move.
