Well, the phone has rang over 11 times now and they are open. When in the store, it's like pulling teeth to get a sales person to help you out. When you check out, NO ONE smiles. \r

Petco should not carry birds as no one in their staff knows how to properly care for birds. Many of the birds at this Petco have tail feathers missing because they don't provide proper play/interaction time for their birds. Some parrots there don't even have any toys which is ESSENTIAL for a bird. Otherwise, you are left with a bird who begins picking his/her feathers. There are many petitions out there trying to have PETCO to cease carrying birds; please sign one (they can't all be wrong!). Just visit PETCO and any Bird Store and you will see a serious difference between the birds.
Pros: Close to my home. Good value if you use their coupons.
Cons: Birds are in terrible shape. It's obvious there is no experienced bird owner on staff.
