Review content:
I am a trainer at Painted Oaks and I have to strongly disagree with ""soccer mom"" on her rating. Painted Oaks is a great place for kids to come to learn about horses in a safe and fun environment. Lisa is very accommodating to each child's needs, which is very rare to find at most barns. She is extremely willing to work with each child on a case-by-case basis, from the most skilled rider to taking on special needs students that most riding instructors would turn away from their lesson programs. Maybe ""soccer mom"" dislikes her laid-back atmosphere, but in my opinion, it is easier to learn and have fun in a laid-back atmosphere than at a farm that is all about showing and competing. However, painted oaks does show and compete locally when students are ready, but they encourage fun and happy shows that are not just about winning, even though they do bring back lots of ribbons from the shows as well!
Pros: great place to learn how to ride
