Review content:
I selected Dapper Dog to kennel my dog because they had the cheapest rates ($26/day). After a five day stay, I picked up my dog after they washed and trimmed her nails. As soon as I got her home, I noticed her back paw was swollen twice its normal size, bleeding & pussing. I immediately called Dapper Dog and asked what happened and why they didn't notice the injury when they were trimming her nails. The puss indicated that the injury/cuts had been infected for at least two days and I KNOW my dog was not injured when I dropped her off. Dapper Dog said they hadn't noticed anything! I took my dog to an emergency vet. I had to pay $200, medicate my dog 3 times a day, and she had to wear a cone collar for 7 days. Dapper Dog not only REFUSED to pay the vet bill but they did not refund my money from her kennel stay either. They said because they didn't notice the injury they are not liable! I asked how they didn't notice my dog licking her paw all the time. The owner said, ""All dogs in AZ lick their paws all the time"". You got to be kidding me. Sounds like they locked my dog in a kennel for 5 days and threw food at her. Stay away and pay the extra money to stay at a legitimate kennel. Pros: Friendly...at least at first Cons: Dog injured under their care, denied liability
