Review content:
We were married on May 29, 2011 at the Beachview Club (great place, we used Straton Hall for our caterer). My wedding was a couple of weeks ago and I'm so glad that Straton Hall came to our rescue. In the beginning we chose to use halyards, we sent dave a check for $4500. Then 4 or 5 days after he got our deposit we were told that our rates were increasing 15% (approx. $2000). His timing was horrible and rather suspect. Our wedding was less than 30 days away. After speaking with him we met in the middle. The next day he called me to say that he wouldn't be our caterer. I asked what was the problem and HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT HE HAS A TEMPER PROBLEM (what owner says such inflammatory things) and he didn't like the fact that we ""threatened"" to right a bad review (no such threat was made). I did say at the end of our initial conversation that I was happy that we came to an agreement and that I was happy that my wife wouldn't have to write a bad review. This guys restaurant halyards and tramici are over priced and sub par. Lots of restaurants are pretty to look at that doesn't guarantee they won't suck. Halyards is a example of this all fluff no substance. Everything worked out perfectly, I'm just glad we didn't have to deal with that unprofessional schiester.
