Review content:
If you have your heart set on experiencing a great trail ride on beautiful horses, you have not found the place at Young's PF Ranch. My daughter and I are experienced riders but have never had the opportunity to ride Paso Fino's - known for their unique and very smooth ride. When I found this ranch and contacted them for details and information, I determined it was worth a 150 mile round trip for an hour trail ride on one of these extraordinary creatures. At first I was taken aback at how filthy the place was. As I mentioned, we are around horses a lot, so I didn't expect pristine conditions, but this was pretty awful. We had reserved our time and when we arrived, it seemed fairly chaotic, like they had never done this before (and we were the only 2 guests for the ride!). Our ride actually began 15 minutes late. The owner was gruff and yelled at her staff in front of us with no regard. A new staff member still in training was assigned to come with us. She seemed to have minimal experience with horses, complained the whole time, and when our guide asked if we wanted to trot, she adamantly said ""no!!!"". The only way to feel the unusual gait of these horses is when they go faster than a walk, which we did not get to do. The trail was horrible - mostly rural streets, navigating around mailboxes, with only minimal wooded trails. We paid for an hour and were brought back in 35 minutes. I realized I should have demanded my money back but all I wanted to do was get out of there. I was annoyed and disappointed for me and my child. What a rip off!
