Review content:
My fiance took my vehicle to Conrad?s in Rocky River/Fairview Park Ohio on 8/23/11 for an oil change and tire rotation and to determine why the check engine light had come on. She and I are 100% dissatisfied with the service we received there. She was told it would take about ? to 1 hour to complete the job; when she returned and inquired about the check engine light the person in charge, Michael Bly, told her that the check engine light was specifically due to a ?heavy transmission fluid leak?, she informed Mr. Bly and another employee that the vehicle is normally serviced across the street by a friend of ours, to this Mr. Bly and his associate hassled her about taking it across the street and not having it serviced by them. Mr. Bly responded to this by saying ?Why would you take it there??, and his associate said ?Why don?t they change your oil then??. They proceeded to give her a hard time and told her not to drive far because the leak was so bad. She left and the car was serviced by a trusted SAE certified mechanic at a trusted local shop, who informed me that the check engine light was not on due to a transmission leak but a faulty charcoal filter, a problem that would not prevent me from driving my vehicle until the weekend. I was also informed that the ?heavy transmission leak?, as diagnosed by Mr. Bly, was nothing more than a small seep and did not need to be serviced any time soon and would not prevent me from driving 30 miles or so to work. Because Mr. Bly insisted that we not drive the car any distance I have now wasted two days and one day of work. I don?t appreciate how Mr. Bly and his associate tried to take advantage of a woman and sell her services under false pretenses, and made her feel like she was doing the wrong thing by taking to the person and shop that have serviced the vehicle for many years. I now have a hard time believing that the service paid for (oil change and tire rotation was actually performed) because I cannot trust Mr. Bly or the other employees to tell the truth.
