Review content:
After reading the above reviews, I had their repairman (who also answers the phone at their shop) visit my home to reset my TV following a neighborhood power surge. This power surge burned out my cable box and made the TV go dead. The technician Larry was grumpy, very impatient and argumentative! He unplugged the cable box (which I had exchanged with TW the day before) and then got mad when the box went through the reboot process, repeatedly stating that the cable box was defective. I had to keep shouting at him to be patient and wait for several minutes until it warmed up. After warming up, the box immediately displayed the time and operated perfectly! Finally he got around to fixing the TV and simply pressed a reset button inside the back of the set. He argued again when I wanted to plug the TV back into the back of the cable box where it belongs instead of using a second wall outlet. He kept repeating that it wouldn't work if I plugged it there. I plugged it into the box anyway and he stopped mid-sentence when he saw that it worked. I felt that if a customer had not been as familiar with the tv/cable box setup as I was, that the customer might have wasted time exchanging cable boxes, etc., based on his hasty, incorrect judgements! This situation was compounded by the limited English-speaking skills of the Japanese technician! I felt that their prices were reasonable.
