This great, local restaurant has sandwiches, soups, and salads. It's generous owner has sponsored many local sports teams and charity organization, as the walls have many "Thank You" pictures. All these donations must mean the business is doing well! And its no mystery why - their fresh, great-tasting food at fair prices is their pinnacle. Among their many specials using local ingredients is my personal favorite, the California Chicken. This savory, indescribable, melt in your mouth, where did that sandwich go(?) delight is packed with avocado, crispy bacon, and tasty chicken breast. You choose your other toppings and condiments with their friendly staff. They also have the usual turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, pastrami, roast beef, etc, but their real unique sandwiches are their best!
The only thing that makes this restaurant slightly lower than perfection is that service is sometimes slow or the quality a little less than perfect. If you get a beginner sandwich-artist you might see a little too much mayo, or too little lettuce, or spend an extra minute repeating yourself. Everyone has had these experiences before, and unfortunately it has happened to me twice at Subs R Us.
