BE CAREFUL HERE! i am from out of town and i am not familiar with the businesses here. i saw the pennington's jewelry and took a watch in for a battery replacement. the next day , the watch stopped. i took it back in and the lady there said i could leave it for a free estimate on repair. i left it and after 1 month, i called inquiring about my watch. she said it was not ready yet. i did get a call from the store a couple days later saying the watch was ready for pick up. i went to the store for the watch and paid 50.00 for a cleaning. i put the watch on and immediately i noticed that it was snug. the watch has always been big and slid up and down my arm like a bracelet and i liked that. i was shocked, but i did not want to make a scene, so i left. i kept looking at the watch and trying it on. the band had definitely been shortened! at least 2 links are missing from my band. the watch is older, but a good watch, a croton. i called the company and of course, this watch is no longer made and they do not have parts for it. i am so disappointed. the lady at the store told me that they do not have in house repair , that the watch would be sent out. i thought about this for a few days , and i decided to call her and let her know what has happened-----the links have been taken from my watch. she said that he has never done anything that he was not instructed to do and it just could not be. i felt then i had no recourse. she seemed non caring or maybe it was dis belief. she did say that she would check with him and call me back on monday, dec 12. i have never heard a word from her. i am writing this review to warn others. i will never go back to this store again. the lady was very nice and the store's appearance was clean and orderly, but beware here!
