Review content:
We went to Boccaccio's to celebrate a birthday. There were 10 adults in our party and we were seated at a large round table with a very nice view of the lake. Drink orders were taken promptly and delicious warm bread was brought to the table. Our waiter wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly either and didn't even say ""Happy Birthday"" to my 70 year old mother (though there were balloons and flowers there to clearly indicate that fact). He didn't even give a ""How are you all doing this evening?"". He just did his job, no extra personality. Actually he didn't even do his job all that well since drinks sat empty for a VERY long period of time and when the food did arrive (after a ridiclous 30-40 minutes of waiting for it!) it wasn't hot and they had forgotten one of the meals. They had to cook it up quickly in the kitchen while that poor guest had to sit and wait for another 10-15 minutes. (No offer to give a discount on that meal either!) To top off the awful service, they brought my mother a flaming baked Alaska for her birthday, which for a moment I thought was so nice of them. Until we got the bill and they had charged us for it. How insane is that? Over $450 spent and we left feeling completely dissapointed. There are far better restraunts in the area that have much better food and know how to treat their guests.
