Worst experience I've had at a mechanic... and I've got an old truck... I've been to A LOT of mechanics! Please if you care anything about your car DON'T GO HERE!!!!!! I took my truck there because it died in Topanga Canyon and Pep boys was the closest shop. When I didn't hear from them in a day about my truck I called to find out what was going on. I was told it was simply a bad battery and I could pick up the truck at any time. That evening after work my buddy drove me out there (2hrs in rush hr.) only to find out the car was actually not running yet and that they'd forgotten to call me. Three days later I called to see what was happening with my car and they still hadn't diagnosed it yet. The next day they called to tell me they'd lost the key. Since that was the ONLY key they had to get another key made. After 5 days they finally had the key made but it took them another 3 days to diagnose the car. I was told because of the trouble they'd only charge me $70 for labor. When I went to pick up the truck they'd charged me $240 for labor and I was told I'd have to wait 3 days till the manager was in. When I called him he first blamed me for how long everything took because I only had one set of keys (seriously what kind of mechanic loses your keys!?!?!) then told me it he said he'd only charge me $70 for the diagnosis (which is totally inaccurate). On top of all of this the car stop running two days after I got it back from them. I took it to another shop and it was the same problem I supposedly got fixed at Pep Boys! I'll say it again - Please if you care anything about your car DON'T GO HERE
