Green Thumb is my #1 plant source. They have huge selections of pony packs, including perennials and ground cover! They have extremely knowledgeable staff: people who actually know about gardening and specifically for the climate of the SCV.\r

Inside there's always fun seasonal merchandise. I've been shopping here for years.\r

1/12/09 Update: Green Thumb is still my favorite. This past December I checked out their Christmas merchandise for the first time (who is really gardening in December?). I was amazed at their huge selection of UNIQUE items. They have a huge Dept. 56 section and tons of ornaments and decor that's different than what you see in other stores. Right before Christmas they offered a 50% discount on the seasonal merchandise and that was upped to 70% after Christmas. I bought beautiful gold star ornaments that looked like they were European and several small birds. I will definitely go back next Christmas for gifts.
