I used to walk past this shop all the time, always eyeing a bottle of 100 yr. old Grand Marnier displayed in the front window. One day I finally went in and while I didn't come out with the bottle of cognac, I did come out with four assorted bottles of really great French wine. They had a very nice selection of Bordeaux, particularly, and with their 50% off the second bottle deal I felt I'd actually come out having paid decent prices per bottle.\r

Since then I've gone in a number of times, usually to browse their wine on sale. Depending on the original price of the wine, bottles will be marked down anywhere from one to six dollars.\r

Service is excellent, I felt comfortable asking questions and for recommendations. Continuing their great service: they've got a good selection of wine on their website and you can order online (or phone in) and they'll deliver if you're on the Upper East side.\r

I'd recommend that if you walk by Sutton Wine shop, stop in like I did. You most likely have a satisfying visit and be happy you did!
