Review content:
Lesley Anton, nationally known in the interior design world for her ""organic modern"" ceramic lighting line, introduces an original collection of handmade functional dinnerware and decorative pottery. \r \r Lesley Anton: Handmade for Home plates, mugs and bowls feature signature glazes, such as pomegranate, sea green and celadon, and surface textures, including random sequences of dots, swirls and chasing. Anton is known for remarkable surface textures, and her dinnerware is a visual feast. One series of dinner plates in a pomegranate glaze has a glass-like surface, edged by dots. Another has a wind-swept weathered look, with patches of sand-colored clay showing through the subtle light-blue finish. \r \r ""I'm responding to the current nesting movement. Since more people are eating at home, they want to enjoy the comfort of the experience and use handmade things,"" says Anton. ""The pieces are not designed or refined. I felt the need to nurture my artistic side.""\r \r Lesley Anton: Handmade for Home includes dinner dishes, bowls, cups, platters and salt bowls. Prices are:\r \r 1. Plates, $28, 32 and $38\r 2. Bowls, $32 and $38\r 3. Serving bowls, from $125\r 4. Mugs, $35\r 5. Salt bowls, $16
