Review content:
This is one of the first restaurants my partner and I visited when we moved to JAX. They have excellent service and beautiful views of the St. John's River from their main dining room. The food is standard upscale american. Avoid the in-house beers -- they are utterly undrinkable!
Added 2/8/06: after a recent Tuesday visit, I am going to revise my opinion about the service and the food slightly. Apparently RCBC doesn't put its 'A' list waitstaff or chef to work on Tuesdays! Our waiter actually asked me if I wanted my martini 'straight up or on the rocks' and got a little offended when I gently corrected him about martinis. For the rest of the evening he was cold and distant, and on a number of occasions I had to scavenge flatware from other tables to replace what was taken away. Our food also seemed sub-par. Our filets (ordered rare, of course) arrived well-done++ almost inedible. The only bright spot of the evening was the escargot which was possibly the best I've ever had in the States.
When we are ready to go back here, I will try for a Thursday or a Friday...
