Wow. I just came back from my first couples massage ever, and my first massage at Aroma Spa.
1.) CHEAP (and they provided a coupon from their website)
2.) FRIENDLY
3.) not so much ambiance
4.) who cares about ambiance when the massage therapists are AMAZINGLY SKILLED. I've had at least 8 different massage therapists since moving to Chicago, and maybe roughly 60 different massage therapists during the course of my life (I grew up with a mother who ran/owned a day spa). I was starting to think that no one in Chicago knew what ""Deep tissue"" meant. Best Chicago massage so far! My massage therapist, Chisato, was strong, deep yet HIGHLY INTUITIVE and also clearly KNOWLEDGEABLE about structural anatomy. She was direct, approachable, and checked in with me multiple times about pressure. Very professional.
I recommend Aroma and I highly recommend booking with Chisato.
I'll be back as soon as possible, and am likely to make it a habit.
