Review content:
We were welcomed in by several hosts/hostesses at the Pink House who made us feel like honored guests though we felt we were dressed too casually for the place (from sightseeing all day) and almost didn't come in. But they encouraged us to stay. They only had ONE table open when we came and we were the blessed ones to get it.
Although they were busy - every table filled - we had excellent service and the food came out in a very timely fashion for them having that many diners at the time.
The biscuits - OH MY. So good. The butter is even amazing in and of itself .
I am originally from Baltimore and particular about how my seafood is prepared - particularly crab soup or crabcakes. I was hoping the seafood would be up to standard and let me tell you the she crab soup was some of the best I've EVER had in my life! The crabcakes? Amazing. Those who were with me on this evening had the pork chops, fried green tomatoes, mac & cheese, cheese grits, and ALL of it was simply amazing.
The atmosphere is just beautiful and the lady who comes and sings at each table is just delightful.
A friend had recommended The Old Pink House to us, having eaten there a month earlier and so we decided to try it upon our visit. We're so glad we did.
Do yourself a favor and dine there on your next visit to Savannah.
Pros: Excellent service, scrumptious food, beautiful atmosphere
