Truth is me and my boyfriend picked this place because the price was cheap but after 3 hours we checked out.\r At first glance the place was tacky but we figured they had'nt updated the decor since the 80's and possibly alot of drug addicts or protistutes checked stayed here mainly since there were alot of burns on the furniture and bathroom counters. The toliet had alot of dark markings and the carpet smelled of mildew. There were two mismatched chairs, one with a huge hole where the upholstery had been ripped out and there was a very small tv nailed down to the dresser. We knoew this was no palace but what else were we expecting for $45.00. We figured hey it was only 2 nights. \r After checking in, we headed straight out to Street Road to grab a bite. Street road had a huge selection of food so we drove up and down checking out a few places until we picked this really nice Indian restaurant and decided to head back to our room to enjoy a intimate dinner for two in front of the tube.\r After eating we started to pull the covers back and relax a little while watching the news and immediatly we both started itching but did'nt know why, I more than he. I kept looking at him wondering what the hell but he just was'nt itching as bed and I could'nt tell if he noticed both of us itching. It was my ankles, calves and feet which made since because I was sitting up with just my legs under the top sheet. He was itching around his neck, arms and his head, as he had been laying with his head on the pillow.\r I finally said something and it seemed like we both jumped up at he same time and snatched the covers back. We started scanning the bed really close but didnt see anything but a couple of tiny brown specks of something. They were differnt shapes and sizes and were'nt moving so we just figured it was some sort of debri from picking or socks or something. We did'nt see anything like what we had seen on tv or by googling before. It seemed like as soon as we sat back down still itching he started tapping my leg and pointing at something on his side of the bed. I'm thinking it was just another piece of debri or he was joking. I had to squint my eyes to see and immediately leaped out of bed screaming and jumping up and down. It was a tiny, tiney, light tan/brownish little bug inching its way across the bed. It was the grosses thing we had ever seen up close, I mean we had just been sitting/laying in this bed while eating and we were still itching. We started scanning again thinking okay maybe it was something else when we saw another one.\r We were so freaked out we started picking up everything off the chairs, floor counter tops and everything shaking them and racing them to the car. \r When we finally slowed down, still itching and decided to take showers just in case any were on our bodies. We got extra clothes from the car, changed and immediatly headed to the office to ask for a manager.\r We were not mean to him or anything just explaining the situation and he just kept saying they get everything sprayed down every Monday, which sounded unlikely and that he did not believe there was an issue and we kept explaining that it was discusting and that we wanted our money back to go to another motel/hotel. After 10 minutes of back and forth he finally agreed to return $25.00 out of the $45.00. Tired and frustrated we just took what we could get back and headed in search of a more expensive option, which seemed to be a safer choice while staying within our budget. It had to be between The Knights Inn or Red Roof Inn. I wont say what we chose since this is'nt an advertisement but we are still at the new place. I must say we were so paranoid when we first arrived we studied the bed for about a half hour before feeling comfortable enough to lay down. The good news is were still here so everything worked out.\r The best advise I have ever given follows: DO NOT EVER STAY AT THE MALL MOTEL. For your own comfort and safety...stay away.
